Waterlining World Record by Mich Kemeter

Mich Kemeter, the 25-year-old Austrian daredevil climber, broke his own world record with a slackline traverse that spanned 250m across a high alpine lake in Austria.

In contrast to the perfectly clam waters of Green Lake, Austria, extreme sport champion Mich Kemeter struggled to stay focused as he edged along 250m of slackline. Sound easy? Hardly. Despite Mr. Kemeter’s impressive resume of slackline stunts, it took him 35 tries to achieve the feet.

“Walking over water is incredibly difficult,” says Kemeter. “You have poor depth perception and frame of reference.” But after 35 attempts over 20 days the Austrian-born daredevil climber finally made it to the other end, breaking his own world record for ‘waterlining’.
