Khodutkinskiye hot springs is one of the unique places of Kamchatka, Russia. The best time to travel there is March-April. It takes half a day to get to the hot springs and the way goes through Goreliy and Asacha volcanoes.
Two hours since we started the journey, we see Opala volcano and ahead is the desired destination – Khodutka volcano.

After 6 hours and 140 km we reach the destination. In 2003 it took 4 days to get here.
The hot springs are 4 km to the north-west from Khodutka and Priyomysh volcanoes.
There are 22 big and small hot springs here, their waters form a hot river 1 km long. The width of the river is 15-20 meters, its max. depth is 1,5 meters.
The temperature at the riverhead is 90°С and 37°С at the mouth.
The fresh water from the springs can be safely used for cooking.
