Artist Mateusz Chmura takes viewers on an intriguing adventure through his Been there, done that project. In each expansive photo, the artist captures a still of his feet before an ever-changing landscape. The scenery within each frame ranges from familiar landmarks to extraordinary settings that have been digitally manipulated. In one standout snapshot, Chmura appears to be standing on the moon in a pair of casual flip-flops. Another features giant tentacles reaching up over the side of a building. Whether or not the photo has been edited, the artist always captures the world around him as a vertical panorama, with his feet firmly at the bottom of the frame, waiting to step forward and explore.

In creating this series, Chmura hopes that his work will inspire others to travel to the places of their dreams. And, when traveling, he advises fellow creatives to capture simple moments that are personally meaningful. Overall, the photographer wants to encourage others to let their feet lead the way.
