The Neptune Duo is a full Android Lollipop smartphone with a big, curved, non-flexible display, but it’s the companion piece to the watch that deviates from the typical formula. Whereas most smartwatches need to pair with a smartphone, the Neptune Duo links up with what the makers call a “Pocket Screen,” which is a 5-inch 720p display that pairs with the watch and can remotely run apps. The “dumb” phone gives you access to bigger apps and content, as well as a pair of cameras (2-megapixel front and 8-megapixel rear) and a battery to recharge the watch with. The watch itself features Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 4G, and NFC, letting you make calls from your wrist, send texts, track fitness stats and more. Pre-orders are being taken now.
